Counteracting propaganda
Introducing methods to counteract propaganda based on studies of the psychological aspects of public consciousness manipulating
Russia`s attack on Ukraine became possible due to the success of Kremlin’s propaganda. Through manipulation in news and informational channels, inflating the scale of personality,
misinformation, and a significant boost in information noise, specific patterns had been introduced into Russian’s minds. That patterns have fundamentally changed their moral imperatives by blurring
the basic categories of good and evil.

To win the informational war, it is necessary to investigate carefully and constantly all scientific
fundamentals of propaganda, based on the applied aspects of modern psychology: sugestology,
psychometrics, cognitive distortion theory, and behavior analysis.

Our project will take the form of an Internet resource where samples of propaganda will be analyzed
thoroughly and dispassionately in the focus of the latest scientific research. Each method of influence
will be supported by references to scientific research and theories.

We will explain in simple terms all of the most common influence techniques used by military
propaganda, thereby weakening the effect of these techniques on citizens’ minds.

We strive to create templates and tables of indicators on the basis of which our audience will be able
to independently identify either already familiar techniques or new ones that have not been used
before.
